The Peoria Caterpillars beat the Omaha Raptors, 6-4, at The Cave at Barton Springs. The Caterpillars got a fine performance from shortstop Aziz Sanchez, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Getting the save was Hua Tann, his 11th. The Omaha losing streak has now reached 4 games.
Sanchez contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Peoria get the win.
Sanchez told a Peoria Gazette reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
