The Minneapolis Freeze got a magnificent effort from pitcher Rintaro Shinoda, who kept Astoria hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Freeze win at The Ice Box. The third-place Freeze raised their record to 26-23.

Shinoda imposed his will on the Argonauts, scattering 1 hit over 6.1 innings while striking out 9. The right-hander upped his season record to 4-3.

"Got a lot of swings and misses today," said Shinoda.
