Loss to Mustangs Extends Peoria Losing Streak
|
It was a fun time at Cobb Field, where the Peoria Caterpillars and Billings Mustangs tangled.
The Billings Mustangs beat the Peoria Caterpillars, 8-4, at Cobb Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of second baseman Twomey Eade, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs. The Caterpillars, at 19-29, have lost 6 straight games.
Billings took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, pinch hitter Carlos Flores hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Billings manager Keith Irwin.
