The New York Mafia beat the Dallas Texans, 8-6, at Metroplex Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Keitaro Ojima, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Oda Kudo got the win, improving to 3-0. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 5 runs on 11 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. Earning his 6th save of the year was Kunihiko Mizuno.

Making an impact for New York was second baseman Kwang-rak Song. He drilled a 2-run single in the top of the fourth. For the game, Song was 2-5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said New York manager Roberto Campos.
