Hernández Goes Wild, But Fireballs Win
Despite a fine performance by catcher Martín Hernández, the Philadelphia Freedom suffered a 9-6 loss to the Joplin Fireballs. Hernández hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Mack McNeil was the winning pitcher. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. Balamitra Sriramesh locked down his 11th save.
