The Joplin Fireballs did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Philadelphia Freedom at The Firepit. Nobody did more than pitcher Mack McNeil, who captured player of the game honors. Balamitra Sriramesh finished to wrap up his 29th save. The Fireballs bumped their record to 59-58 with this latest triumph.

Keith Dalley was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Joplin. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jesús Moreno. It was his 41st walk of the season.

"Both teams played hard," said Joplin manager Nick Browning.
