Mustangs Get One-Run Win at Omaha
|
Manny Calderón could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Omaha Raptors lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Billings Mustangs at Anchorage Municipal Stadium. Billings is now 20-18, Omaha 17-22.
Victor Rocher chipped in for Billings, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the third inning. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 4.
"We were in it," said Omaha manager António Chávez. "We just didn't score enough runs."
