Pérez Lifts Bumblebees to 9-6 Triumph
|
Pasadena left fielder Pedro Pérez was instrumental in his team's 9-6 win over the Antioch Coal Miners. Pérez, who is rated as the 35th best prospect by BNN, went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bumblebees. Morgan Tyson picked up the win with 8 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 3-0. Pasadena is third in the Blake Camden League Youppi Division with a record of 21-18.
Pasadena first baseman Edmund McDonald made his contribution to the Bumblebees cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning. For the day, McDonald went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
