Victory Pushes Bumblebees Record to 20-17
|
In a close game at The Coal Mine, the Pasadena Bumblebees edged the Antioch Coal Miners, 5-4. Pasadena shortstop Lachlan Miners earned the nod as player of the game. He went 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Pasadena now owns a record of 20-17.
Pedro Pérez had a nice at-bat for the Bumblebees with one out in the top of the sixth. With the bases loaded, the left fielder hit a sacrifice fly, which would prove important in the Pasadena win.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Antioch manager Julián Flores.
