The Peoria Caterpillars beat the Detroit Death Stars, 6-3, at The Cave at Barton Springs. Peoria right fielder Myung-joo Ku earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Peoria has now won 3 in a row.
Going deep for Peoria was Tom Hanson. The second baseman had a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third for the Caterpillars. It put his team ahead, 3-1, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Hanson was 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
