Joplin had no answer for Reno Raiders starter Guo-quiang Zhŕo, who flummoxed Fireballs hitters as the Raiders cruised to a 6-1 victory. Miguel Gonzáles finished to wrap up his 2nd save. Reno is now 14-19, while Joplin is 17-16.

The Raiders got a lift from second baseman Apupa Vuppula who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning off Liu-chun Ren. It was his 5th RBI of the season and put Reno in front, 1-0.

"Guo-quiang did a tremendous job," said Reno manager Alex Hensley.
