With center fielder Hoffman Faust leading the charge, the Detroit Death Stars defeated the Vancouver Canadians, 9-2, at The Death Star. Faust, who is tied for 2nd in the BCL in triples with 3, was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The Death Stars, now 22-8, have been on fire in the early going.

In the bottom of the fourth inning of a 1-1 tie, Detroit third baseman Bo Bing grounded out, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Detroit on top, 2-1.

"This team is on a mission," said Faust, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."
