Mora, Coal Miners Manhandle Freedom

The Antioch Coal Miners handed the Philadelphia Freedom a sound defeat, 15-0, at The Coal Mine. Juan Mora was a main contributor to the win. He was 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Antioch. The defending champion Coal Miners have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 15-14 with the win.
Noam Foucher put Antioch in front, 15-0, when he took Yoriyuki Kichida downtown. His grand slam home run came with two out in the bottom of the eighth. It was his 9th home run of the season.
"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Philadelphia manager Dan Jones. "We got the snot knocked out of us."
