Despite a fine performance by right fielder Terry Pulh Jr., the Astoria Argonauts suffered a 7-3 loss to the Reno Raiders. Pulh Jr. went 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Mei-shan Huang, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save. The Raiders are off to a tough start, getting just their 11th win in 28 games.

Vadodara, India-born Apupa Vuppula came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd and the Raiders trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run double to center to put Reno on top.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Vuppula told a Reno Today reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
