The Minneapolis Freeze picked up a win at The Ice Box, knocking off the Bronx Bombers, 8-3. Starting pitcher Carlos Torres played a key role in the triumph. With the win, Minneapolis goes to 15-13.

Torres, who was born in Valencia, Venezuela, threw 101 pitches over 7.1 innings, while allowing no earned runs.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Torres.
