Bombers Take Close Win Over Raiders
Eduardo Marino could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Reno Raiders lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Bronx Bombers at Bronx Ballpark. Albert Giles got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Bronx, now 10-15, is off to a slow start.

Jorge Guerrero provided some late-game heroics for Bronx. In the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a 0-2 curveball from Daladhisvara Harishandra and propelled Bronx to a 3-2 lead.

"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Reno skipper Alex Hensley.
