Loss Extends Omaha Losing Streak
The Omaha Raptors got a superb performance from designated hitter Xiao-wei Wang. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Detroit. The Death Stars won the game, 9-3. In spite of the loss, Wang was named the player of the game. He was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Detroit, now 19-6, is playing great baseball to start the year.

Masamichi Sasaki didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to put Detroit on top, 2-0.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager António Chávez, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
