Vancouver starter Pepe Trevino turned in a competent performance at The Bell as his team beat Philadelphia, 8-4. Trevino went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 3-1. At 17-9, the Canadians have played well so far.

Xun Juan helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give Vancouver a 2-0 lead.

"I liked his command," said Vancouver manager John Harrison. "Pepe was throwing strikes."
