Guzmán Excels in Philadelphia Win
José Guzmán added some punch to the Philadelphia offense, helping them outmuscle the Vancouver Canadians, 14-7. In the game, Guzmán, who is tied for 8th in the BCL in RBI with 21, was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. The win pushes Philadelphia to a record of 14-11.

A defensive miscue in the bottom of the third cost the Canadians. With Philadelphia leading 4-3, Pero Paolillo reached on an error by the P, driving in 1 run. Philadelphia ended up winning the ballgame.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Paolillo told the Philadelphia Daily.
