The Pasadena Bumblebees did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Bronx Bombers at The Hole. Nobody did more than pitcher Barend Bilderbeek, who captured player of the game honors. Bilderbeek picked up the win for Pasadena, going 5 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-3. The loss drops Bronx to 9-14.

There were several reasons the Bumblebees beat the Bombers, but one factor was Roberto Trevino. In the bottom of the fourth, the Pasadena right fielder came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 3-2 lead.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Pasadena manager Eric Walker.
