The Pasadena Bumblebees stymied the Bronx Bombers, 6-1, at The Hole. Armando Mendoza, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs for Pasadena. Pasadena reliever Devayukta Tushar picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bob Alexander was saddled with the loss. The loss drops Bronx to 9-13.

Roberto Trevino's at-bat in the bottom of the third inning was a big one for Pasadena. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Pasadena leading 1-0, the right fielder hit a sacrifice fly.
