Bombers Deal Caterpillars 7-3 Setback
|
The Bronx Bombers relied on the hitting of left fielder Ángel García to stop the Peoria Caterpillars, 7-3. For the game, García went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Michel Mollet picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-1. He struck out 4 in 5 innings. The Caterpillars fall to 8-11 and continue their lackluster start in 2028.
Michael Krause put Bronx in front, 5-2, when he took Luca Hatch downtown. His 2-run home run came with no one out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
