Victory Pushes Fireballs Record to 12-9
|
The Joplin Fireballs bested the Omaha Raptors by a score of 7-5, with catcher Tetsuzan Araki getting the main credit. On the day, Araki was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Fireballs. Stephen Pearson earned the win to go to 1-2. He allowed 4 earned runs on 9 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts. The Raptors fall to 8-13 and continue their wobbly start to the 2028 season.
Araki had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Fireballs went on to win.
