The Reno Raiders did just enough to sneak past the Vancouver Canadians, 4-3, at Stanley Park. Reno designated hitter Dave Watson earned player of the game honors. Eduardo Marino earned the win for Reno. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 1-1. The loss drops Vancouver to 11-5.

Watson was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Reno. With the game tied in the top of the seventh, Watson had a clutch at-bat. That's when he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Raiders a 4-3 lead.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Watson said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
