In a tight contest at Bronx Ballpark, the Bronx Bombers edged the Antioch Coal Miners by the score of 6-5. Bronx first baseman Alfonso Alonso, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. The winner was Bronx reliever Juan Manuel, now 1-1. The loser was Chong-hyeon Kim. The Coal Miners drop to 4-9 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2028 season.

In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 5-5, third baseman António Collado won it for Bronx. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Collado hit a 2-1 curveball from Chong-hyeon Kim for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 6-5 win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Collado said.
