In a close game at The Hole, the Philadelphia Freedom edged the Pasadena Bumblebees, 5-4. Philadelphia left fielder Danny Griggs earned the nod as player of the game. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. With the win, Philadelphia pushes its record to 7-7.
Philadelphia took the lead in the top of the sixth when Griggs hit a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season made the score 4-2, Philadelphia.
