Reno starter Almas bin Su'ud pitched effectively against the Omaha Raptors at House of Pain. The right-hander led his team to a 5-4 win. bin Su'ud got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 6 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. bin Su'ud allowed 4 earned runs. Reno is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 6th in 15 games.

Mark Newman had a clutch at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for the Raiders. Coming up with a runner on 2nd and Reno trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run home run.
