Verity Helps Jesters Beat Beavers
|
A 3-RBI performance from third baseman Ron Verity, who is a seven-time All-Star, led the Jersey Jesters to a 7-4 win over the Portland Beavers. The win takes Jersey to 13-10.
Had Verity not come through in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Verity hit a 3-run home run. The Jesters never looked back after taking the 6-4 lead.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Verity said.
