Anchorage Municipal Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Omaha Raptors and the Peoria Caterpillars.

Omaha catcher Masaharu Higashi made his presence felt in the 7-6 Raptors triumph over the Peoria Caterpillars. Higashi was 2 for 3 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Hung-chang Chao in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Pablo Costa took the loss. Jason Engel sewed up the save, his 1st.

The Raptors got a big boost from left fielder Abid Alamdar who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the seventh inning off Caterpillars hurler Pablo Costa. It was his 2nd RBI of the season and put Omaha on top, 6-5.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Omaha manager António Chávez.

The Raptors, with just their 3rd win so far in 2028, have yet to catch fire.
