The Peoria Caterpillars faced a tough opponent in Omaha pitcher Jon Shipway, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Anchorage Municipal Stadium by a final score of 4-3. Shipway went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Peoria reliever Zhong Shi picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. António López shouldered the loss. Peoria is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 4th in 10 games.

Peoria grabbed a 2-1 lead in the top of the seventh when Wilford Thompson hit a run-scoring double. For the day, Thompson was 2 for 2 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 runs.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Omaha manager António Chávez said following the tough loss.
