4-2 Win by Canadians Continues Hot Start
|
The Vancouver Canadians racked up a win at Stanley Park, bumping off the Antioch Coal Miners, 4-2. Pepe Trevino, who started for Vancouver, pitched effectively for his team. Félix Reina earned the save, his 4th, for the Canadians. Vancouver, now 10-2, is setting the league on fire so far.
The Vancouver triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was Ellis Stockdale. In the bottom of the fifth, the Vancouver left fielder hit a run-scoring double. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Stockdale said.
