Vancouver Wins 7-0 to Continue Red Hot Start
|
The first-place Vancouver Canadians welcomed Antioch to Stanley Park.
Pitcher Aaron Dilnot was sensational for the Vancouver Canadians in his team's 7-0 triumph over the Antioch Coal Miners. Dilnot received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Dilnot, now 3-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing no earned runs.
Also making an impact was right fielder Scotty Hudson, who drilled a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning for the Canadians. For the game, Hudson was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Aaron did a tremendous job," said Vancouver manager John Harrison.
The Canadians, now 9-2, have stormed out of the gates.
