Detroit played host to Bronx at the friendly confines of The Death Star.

The Detroit Death Stars went home winners at The Death Star, thanks in large part to starter Benny Hartley. Hartley silenced the Bronx Bombers, enabling Detroit to grab the 8-1 win. The win brings the Death Stars to 7-3, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Hartley, who was born in Finneytown, Ohio, threw 105 pitches over 8.2 innings, while allowing 1 earned run.

"I liked his command," said Detroit manager Mitchell Drover. "Benny was throwing strikes."
