Cobb Field was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

Billings left-hander Barnabé Bacm helped his team edge Reno by the score of 2-1. Bacm kept the opposing lineup in check. The Raiders fall to 5-7 and continue their lackluster start in 2028.

There were several reasons the Mustangs beat the Raiders, but one factor was Mendel Israel. In the bottom of the fourth, the Billings catcher came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Bacm. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
