Philadelphia first baseman Anujestha Puri had a good game, even if his team did not. The Freedom dropped a 8-4 decision to Detroit at The Death Star. Puri went 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Carl Pollard earned the save, his 4th. Detroit, now 5-3, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Detroit took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Jason Barrett stroked a 2-run single to make it 5-3, Death Stars.

"We swung the bats pretty good throughout the lineup," said Detroit skipper Mitchell Drover.
