|
Detroit left-hander Giobbe Tadiotto made an effective start against the Philadelphia Freedom at The Death Star, leading his team to a 7-4 win. Carl Pollard was credited with the save for Detroit, his 3rd of the season. With the win, Detroit elevates its record to 4-3.
With no one out in the bottom of the seventh, Valentín Velasco hit a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 7th hit of the season and with it the Death Stars took a 4-3 lead.
"Giobbe was throwing free and easy," said Detroit manager Mitchell Drover.
