Hot Start Continues for Bumblebees
|
The Pasadena Bumblebees racked up a win at The Hole, bumping off the Astoria Argonauts, 5-4. Ilpo Vuorinen, who started for Pasadena, pitched effectively for his team. The win moves Pasadena to a record of 5-2.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Pasadena catcher Bernard Richard hit a run-scoring single, helping his team get the win.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Astoria manager Toin Furukawa said following the tough loss.
