Bumblebees Get Past Reno for 2-1 Win
|
House of Pain was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
The Pasadena Bumblebees went home winners at House of Pain, thanks in large part to starter Hidetada Abe. Abe silenced the Reno Raiders, enabling Pasadena to grab the 2-1 win. The loss drops Reno to 2-3.
Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, Roberto Trevino's at-bat in the top of the eighth was huge. With two out, the Pasadena right fielder hit a run-scoring double, to give his team a 2-1 lead.
"Runs were at a premium," said Pasadena manager Eric Walker.
