Bombers Hope Opening Day Win Bodes Well for Season
The 2028 season is off to a good start for the Bronx Bombers. The hometown Bombers knocked off the Omaha Raptors, 4-1, at Bronx Ballpark. Bronx pitcher Al Bates was named player of the game.

With one out in the bottom of the third, Michael Krause drilled a 2-run home run to left-center. It put Bronx ahead, 2-0. For the game, Krause was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Good to get a win," said Krause, "but it's a long season."
