|
The Billings Mustangs faced a tough opponent in Vancouver pitcher Pepe Trevino, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Stanley Park by a final score of 4-2. Trevino went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. With the loss, Vancouver is 1-1.
Satoshi Kuhabara had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the seventh for Billings. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Billings in front, 3-2.
After the game, Billings manager Keith Irwin applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
