Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Phantoms
The Coronado Phantoms did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Champaign Chiefs at Phantoms Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Shoichi Ikeda, who captured player of the game honors. Coronado is now 80-81.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Coronado right fielder Jim Unknown, facing Jack Folkard, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Phantoms the 3-2 win.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Jeffrey Graham, the Coronado manager.
