The Acapulco Banditos got a superb performance from pitcher Denny Goodwin. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Scranton. The Escape won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, Goodwin was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings allowing 4 runs. Scranton reliever Jim Unknown was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Aubert Licci took the loss. Scranton is in last place in the Kade Stenson League Lou Seal Division with a record of 49-112.

The Escape beat the Banditos in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Kian-tat Au produced in the bottom of the 11th. Batting against Acapulco pitcher Aubert Licci, Au gave his team a 5-4 lead when he hit a walk-off run-scoring single.

In postgame comments, Au said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
