The Scranton Escape defeated the Acapulco Banditos, 8-5, in Kade Stenson League action at Hell Stadium, with Scranton designated hitter Fo-hian Li named player of the game. Scranton starter Rino Nitisastro was credited with the win after throwing 92 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 5-14. Juan Núñez got the save, his 18th in 25 chances.

Li had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the third, when he hit a 2-run single. The Escape went on to win.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Jason Clark said.

Even with the win, the Escape have a dismal 48-112 record.
