|
Horseman third baseman António Villarreal put his stamp on his team's 9-3 win over the Fort Worth Cats. Villarreal hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for Amarillo in the contest. Gerardo Garza converted his 3rd save in 6 tries. Amarillo is now 91-71, while Fort Worth is 101-61.
Villarreal had a key at-bat for Amarillo early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 20th home run of the season and gave Amarillo an early 3-0 lead.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Villarreal told the Amarillo Daily.
