Wranglers Come Up Short at Des Moines
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Des Moines Spartans eventually prevailed at Spartans Park.
Des Moines Spartans starter Edgardo Félix turned in a top-notch performance against the Wichita Wranglers at Spartans Park. The result was a win for the Spartans, 3-2. Félix got the win, improving to 14-9. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Félix allowed 2 earned runs. Donald Hoover sewed up the save, his 36th.
Des Moines left fielder Wei-liang Khu contributed to the cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Khu was 2 for 3 with 2 singles.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Félix told the Des Moines Today.
Des Moines's record now stands at 90-71, placing them second in the Kade Stenson League Lou Seal Division.
