Wranglers Mow Down Horseman, 9-4
|
The Wichita Wranglers bested the Amarillo Horseman, 9-4, at Bulldog Stadium. Duk-yeo Ch'oe was named player of the game. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The 6th-place Wranglers now have a win-loss record of 63-94.
Pete Moore was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times for Wichita. In the bottom of the fourth, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Moore delivered for the Wranglers. His run-scoring ground out put Wichita on top, 3-2.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Ch'oe told a Wichita News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
