The Fairfield Flash beat the Scranton Escape, 5-4, in 11 innings. Fairfield designated hitter Garin Renzenbrink merited player of the game honors with his performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The losses continue to add up for Scranton, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.

Fairfield center fielder Tony Vázquez said he was just trying to make contact when he came to bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the 11th.
