It might have been a rain-shorted game, but the hometown crowd didn't seem to mind.
Pitcher Jagara Suksma was sensational for the Mdewanketon Sabercats in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Des Moines Spartans. Suksma received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Suksma picked up the win for Mdewanketon, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 8-15.
Mdewanketon first baseman Seok-heung Cho helped the Sabercats to the win. In the bottom of the second inning, the 25-year old first baseman stroked a 2-run double. For the game, Cho went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Suksma said.
Mdewanketon, now 72-83, holds 5th place in the Kade Stenson League Lou Seal Division.
