McNichols Stadium was the site for Thurman Munson League action featuring the Mile High Mustangs and Bloomington Blazers.

The Bloomington Blazers went home winners at McNichols Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Lou Latulippe. Latulippe silenced the Mile High Mustangs, enabling Bloomington to grab the 6-0 win. Mile High, at 6-15, is off to a poor start in 2028.

Latulippe gave Bloomington a solid start. The left-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8.1 innings.

"We had a nice day," said Bloomington skipper Dennis Shepard.
