Hitmen Stumble, Lose to Hops
The San Diego Hops met little resistance from the Chicago Hitmen, beating them 11-3 at SouthSide Park. Kyle Reader led the way. He went 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 3 times for San Diego. The Hops keep rolling, raising their record to 2-1.

Ken Abbott contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the first. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat that helped San Diego get the win.

"We came out aggressive," said San Diego Hops manager Randy England. "We came out swinging the bats."
